This section of NCN Route 1 runs between Darford and Gravesend, including a new section on Watling Street near Bean. On the Thurrock side some sections of Route 13 are open.
The route is mainly traffic-free with dedicated cycle paths alongside the busier roads. The riverside paths on both sides of the river are spectacular walking routes, but they are not currently open to cyclists (with a few exceptions)
