Thunder & Sunshine: Around the World by Bike, Part 2
The second part of Alastair Humphreys' ride around the world, this time his tale starts in Cape Town (Alastair having cycled there from Yorkshire) and heads across the Atlantic by yacht to the Americas - cycling from Patagonia to Alaska.
After making the crossing to Russia by ship, the cycling continues across Asia and Europe back to Yorkshire.
Alastair Humphreys’ round the world journey of 46,000 miles was an old-fashioned adventure: long, lonely, low-budget and spontaneous. Cycling across five continents and sailing over the oceans, his ride took four years to complete, on a tiny budget of hoarded student loans. “Thunder and Sunshine” is the final part of the remarkable expedition.
With a foreword by Bear Grylls.
