40 circular walks in the West Highlands of Scotland.
Routes have been chosen according to a number of factors, including variety of terrain, great views, historical interest, minimal road walking and the feasabilty of a circular walk.
Designed to be used in conjunction with Ordnance Survey Landranger or Explorer maps, the routes have also a written description, and a clearly sketched basic map. Colour photos show some of the scenery and attractions along the way.
NB: None of the walks in this guide should be attempted without the relevant OS map (or equivalent) at 1:50 000 or 1:25 000, and a compass. Further advice is included in the guide for safety on the hills. Also see below, ‘Navigation for Walkers’, if you are not already experienced with map and compass.
