The Coast & Castles South map covers the route from Berwick-upon-Tweed to just south of the small village of Harbottle. These Ordnance Survey Landranger maps cover the route between Harbottle and Haltwhislte: Cheviot Hills & Kielder Water and Haltwhistle and Hexham. The Ordnance Survey Tour map for the Lake District shows the route from just south of Haltwhistle to Ingleton.

Appleby-in-Westmorland or Penrith - Berwick-upon-Tweed
This is the northern section of the longest of the National Cycle Network routes - National Route 68, and uses mostly quiet lanes plus some traffic-free paths to travel between Appleby and Berwick -upon-Tweed. Plenty of wonderful scenery, with some challenging gradients. Make sure your gears are working well!
